he Parish programme for children preparing for Holy Communion and for Confirmation has two tracks
Both tracks come together in the shared parish programme - which largely focussed on Sunday Mass and parish service.
The expectation is that all families taking part in the programme will attend Mass weekly.
Parents who wish their children to take part in the programmes
during the school year 2025/6 have been invited to meet with Fr Allen
to discuss the programme prior to enrolling.
The opportunity to sign up for one of these meetings
is provided at Sunday Mass during May/June
with final meetings on 21st June.
Thereafter parents can sign up for their children
to join the programmes in the school year 2026/7.
The following documents are provided for information about the 2025/6 programmes.
Paper copies will be available from Fr Allen at Sunday Mass from 28th June.
A couple of other social events are in the process of being arranged:
- The first is for children not at Catholic schools, and includes parish-based catechetic sessions to help the children's preparation. Details of these sessions will be passed to families by Fr Allen.
- The second is for children in the parish primary school, St Nicholas. The school will communicate their plans directly to parents.

- Families who do not attend Mass weekly at St Nicholas church, but whose children do attend St Nicholas school are expected to attend Mass at St Nicholas parish for the (more or less) monthly Masses which are part of the Preparation programme.
