Every 5 years there is a major inspection of our church building to help identify necessary repair works.

The most recent inspection has highlighted the need for some repairs, and also echoed the comments of many in the parish that it is time for the redecoration of the interior of the church.

A working group of the Parish Pastoral Council has been considering how we proceed with this - along with a number of other related issues of maintenance and renewal. A first document was circulated earlier this year for information, followed by an open parish meeitng where people could pose their questions.  

The next stage is a consultation to get further comments. A questionnaire can be downloaded here, and paper copies are available in church. This questionnaire poses additional, related, questions concerning the Parish's Community Centre - the Newman Centre - and Parish Mass times. 

Please submit your response by Ascension Day - May 15th.
All respondents are asked to give their name and contact details. This is so that the working group can follow-up with respondents should this be necessary to get full benefit from their comments. 

At the end of the consultation the working group will report on the fruits of the consultation to the full Parish Pastoral Council.

'Final' proposals will then be prepared for presentation to the parish, in readiness for final decisions prior to the design/tendering process.
