The Cycle of Prepare proposes intentions for prayer throughout the Church's Year. It is prepared for the Bishops' Conference, and more details can be found here.

The Cycle is a helpful resource for schools and groups whose more occasional celebrations of Mass, and/or Liturgies of the Word may not be best met by the Lectionary's provision of daily readings for Mass.

Those daily readings are drawn from a semi-continuous reading of the different Bible books.  WIthout benefit of  the gradual unfolding of the books day by day, the readings of a particular day may be difficult for any congregation to appreciate, especially if those gathered for prayer and thanksgiving are not particularly familiar with scripture, and those particular books.

However, the Church provides other readings which may be more helpful. These are primarily provided in her provision of readings for Masses for Various Needs and Occasions.
