To ensure the parish carpark is best available for parish use, a contract has been let to an external company who have responsibility for its management.

An ANPR system is in place which registers all vehicles parking there. Free parking for a period of an hour is available at all times. Beyond that a permit is required, to avoid the issuing of an automatic parking penalty.

AUTOMATIC FREE PARKING PERMITS are issued to cover all parking at Church services
  • on Saturdays from 5.30 to 7.30pm;
  • on Sundays from 8am to 2pm;
  • on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9.30 to 11.30am;
  • and Fridays from 6.30 to 8.30pm. 

At other times, (if on site for parish meetings and the like), one-off permits to extend this 'free time' are available by scanning the QR poster in the church or Benedict Room.

PARISH VOLUNTEERS and members of parish groups are welcome to apply for an annual parking permit which will cover them for all times they are on site carrying out their responsibilities etc. If you qualify for a permit then please do complete the form to the right. NB The permit will not be operative until you receive an email from the parish priest confirming that a parking permit has been issue. That email will confirm the start and finishing date of the permit.

  • This permit is issued to be used in accordance with the licence issued to the school by the Parish of St Nicholas. The school is responsible for ensuring that it is used in accordance with that agreement.
  • The information you provide will be shared with Creative Car Park Company for the purposes of obtaining exemption permits for parish volunteers.
