The parish of St Nicholas allows free parking for staff of St Nicholas Catholic Primary School in line with the license agreed between the Birmingham Roman Catholic Trustees and the St John Paul II Multi Academy.

The license allows for 9 vehicles to be parked in marked bays in front of the church. At present permission is given for vehicles to be parked in any of the marked spaces in front of the church.

Parking restrictions are displayed in the  carpark. Those parking for more than an hour will need to obtain a parking permit. 

Day permits are issued via an App, which requires the scanning of a QR code on the school premises.

Please note that vehicles

• must be parked in marked bays in front of the church only, and not in the parking spaces either side of the church
• they should not be double parked
• if vehicles are parked in the restricted bays or double parked any permit will be cancelled. ​

Annual Permits​

• Annual permits are also available which are valid for a school year (from 1st September to 31st August). Permits will be issued on 31st August.
• There is a charge of £50 for an annual permit.
• If applying for an annual permit, please complete the form on this page, and submit it electronically. Please make payment by cheque payable to 'St Nicholas parish', please put in envelope (bearing your car registration number) and  and post through letter box of the Parish House.
• ​It is the responsibility of staff to apply in good time for a renewal of any permit issued. (Until you receive notification that a permit has been issued those parking in the parish carpark should continue to obtain a day permit using the QR code available in school.)
• If a permit is cancelled because of a vehicle is parked in a way that is not permitted, an application may be made for its reinstatement. If a reinstatement is approved there will be a charge of £10.00

​From time to time, it will be necessary for all vehicles (whether covered by an annual permit or not) to be removed from the carpark because of parish needs - for example because of a larger funeral. Notice of such occasions will be given in advance. All permit holders will be required to park elsewhere on such occasions. On such occasions St Nicholas School may provide parking spaces in its playground.
