The Parish programme for children preparing for Holy Communion and for Confirmation has two tracks
Both tracks come together in the shared parish programme - which largely focussed on Sunday Mass and parish service.
The expectation is that all families taking part in the programme will attend Mass weekly.
Parents of children who have not been baptised in the Catholic Church, should arrange to meet with the parish priest as soon as possible - and before applying - to discuss their circumstances.
2024-25 Programme
- The first is for children not at Catholic schools, and includes parish-based catechetic sessions to help the children's preparation. Details of these sessions will be passed to families by Fr Allen.
- The second is for children in the parish primary school, St Nicholas. The school will communicate their plans directly to parents.

- Families who do not attend Mass weekly at St Nicholas church, but whose children do attend St Nicholas school are expected to attend Mass at St Nicholas parish for the (more or less) monthly Masses which are part of the Preparation programme.
