NB This group has not met since COVID. It is planned to re-start in Autumn 2023. In the meantime you might like to try out the Lectio Divina Group that meets on Sunday afternoons to pray with
We meet once a month, usually on the second Wednesday of the month from 7.30 to 8.30pm and all are welcome.
Details of our meetings are published in the parish newsletter.
Bring a Bible, any Bible. (The version we use at Mass and in the Liturgy more generally, is usually the Jerusalem Bible translation, but it is sometimes interesting in this different context to see the range of translations proposed).
We prepare for our meetings by reading passages from Scripture and then share our thoughts and questions.
We have recently read our way through the Historical sections of the Old and New Testaments; read the Gospel of Mark, and are about to embark on the Psalms.
Anyone is welcome - don't feel you have to be an expert in Scripture! Your questions and thoughts will be helpful to us all...
