For Catholics the old adage, 'It is the Mass that matters', still holds true.

In the Eucharist we are invited to participate in that which is the source and summit of Christian life.

• It is source, for it is Christ present for us.
• It is summit, because in the Mass we join ourselves with Christ in his self-offering, and strive to be acceptable to the Father.

Sunday Mass is the cornerstone of the faithful Catholic life.

• We gather as a community on that day,
• together to hear God's word,
• to offer our thanksgiving to the Father (united with Jesus),
• and to be sent out, made strong by word and Sacrament, to live as Christ in the world

Liturgies of the Word with Children are regularly celebrated at our Sunday 9am Mass. These liturgies are for younger children (from Reception to Year 2). But all children and all families are welcome at all of our parish Masses.

Many people find it helpful to prepare for Sunday Mass by using the readings of the Liturgy of the Word in their daily prayer in the days leading up to Sunday. It is also helpful to return to the readings and prayers of the Sunday Mass in the days that follow, as a way of ensuring we continue to be fed by what is served to us there.
