• St Chad's Cathedral is the Cathedral Church of the Archdiocse of Birmingham. Designed by Pugin, it was founded in 1839 and completed in 1841!

• Lichfield Cathedral was founded in the 8th Century to house the shrine of St Chad. It has been rebuilt several times and the present building dates mostly from the 13th Century. The shrine of St Chad was destroyed during the English Reformation. However the relics of Chad were secretly removed and kept safe: they are now housed and venerated in St Chad's Cathedral, Birmingham.
